Watching the Children      Grow Up

Many children have been at the House of Flowers for over 9  years. We have been privileged to be able to watch these children grow and mature during some of their most precious and formative years. Beauty comes in seeing their worlds unfold.

We have put together brief biographies of some of the children along with a series of their photos showing their changes over time. Click on the names below to see the stories and pictures of these children growing over the years...

New Children

As some of the boys such as Zaher Shah, Obaid and Sameer have grown older and stronger over the last year, they have left the House in order to help their extended families.  And other children's families have moved away, and so there were sad goodbyes as Ruhullah, Rayhan, Rumal, Javid and Zahra left the House as well. The House of Flowers keeps in touch with these families to check on the children as much as possible.

With a renewed focus, the House has received more younger children, and is committed to keeping girls at the House as long as necessary.
