About MEPO
MEPO is a charity organization, originally founded in Austria in 1999 by Dr. Mostafa Vaziri, a volunteer physician.
MEPO doctors and volunteers served in Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. MEPO and its volunteers conducted free health camps, established and supported schools and clinics in refugee camps and poor rural villages, and provided assistance to poverty-stricken families.
Since all administration work is done by MEPO staff volunteers in close collaboration with HEWAD, an Afghan NGO in Kabul, MEPO has no overhead costs. MEPO's headquarters are now located in New Jersey, USA.
