Attempted Fraud Activity:
It has been brought to our attention that some of our readers have received fraudulent e-mail messages purporting to be from Dr. Mostafa Vaziri. These messages urgently request readers to send money to Dr. Vaziri in Nigeria to help him resolve certain travel problems. The e-mail indicates that Dr. Vaziri needs financial help in order to extricate himself from a series of unfortunate incidents that have allegedly left him stranded in Nigeria, with no funds and no passport, and with no accommodations for his comfort and safety.
It is a well-known fact- at least to us- that our readers/correspondents/supporters are very generous and would immediately be concerned as how best to provide the means of support as "requested" in the fraudulent e-mail that some have received.
Please be assured, however, that the e-mail message in this case is completely false. Dr. Vaziri has not written such an e-mail, and he is not currently in any African country. We are saddened that our e-mail address has been fraudulently used to seek funds from unsuspecting MEPO supporters.
Please take note that MEPO's e-mail address has been changed The new address is:
If you have any questions, please feel free to address them directly to Dr. Vaziri at the new MEPO e-mail address.
We appreciate your continued support and your positive thoughts for us and on behalf of MEPO
