The House of Flowers is in dire financial straits, and needs immediate help if it is going to survive.
For nearly 10 years, the House of Flowers has existed in Kabul for
children who needed a safe, nurturing, long-term home and school
environment.
It has existed thanks to the support of a small pool of very
dedicated donors. But each year, the expenses in Kabul have
increased dramatically.
Finally, we are at the heartwrenching point of having to consider
closing the House of Flowers, for the simple reason that our
expenses are exceeding our income.
Expenses are now at $60,000 per year for 30 children and the staff.
