This book explores Hafiz, the Persian sage, mystic and poet of the fourteenth century. It presents the spiritual qualities, poetry and teachings of this great master who has over six centuries gained the admiration of readers spanning from India to the Western World. Goethe, Rueckert and Platen are few of the giant literary figures whose works and persons were fundamentally influenced by the teachings and poetry of Hafiz. Furthermore, the book demonstrates the phenomena of interconnections through the poetry of Hafiz.
